Summary: Ensure that the IT assets of an organization are supported by an infrastructure architecture that supports the organization in achieving its strategic goal. Typically has an Associates degree with previous experience in infrastructure engineering. The technical skills include the ability to write architecture documents and test plans. Education/Experience o Associates degree in computer programming or relevant field required. Bachelor degree preferred o 8-10 years experience required Responsibility level o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor Skills o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) o Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) o Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) o Strong knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling (Required) o Strong knowledge of computer software, such as Websphere, Linux, Oracle, etc (Required) Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: o Create project requests describing infrastructure to support user needs that estimate time and cost required to accomplish project o Interface with managed service provider teams to implement new infrastructure o Review and approve infrastructure enhancements and determine project scope and limitations o Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new infrastructure and improvements to computer systems o Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure o Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use of software and to protect vulnerable information
